StressLines

practical and emotional support for charity, community, and NGO workers
I trained as a Core Process psychotherapist in the ‘90s. At the same time, I worked at Schumacher College, a centre for ecological studies, where I taught movement and bodywork to international NGO workers. I have since worked as a fundraiser, project coordinator and workshop leader. Frontline work with school refusers, people with learning difficulties, refugees and asylum seekers. I’ve set up projects in cross-cultural heritage and community music. I volunteer as an allotment site rep. For my philosophical approach, please go to: www.heavenisround.com
Project workers, community leaders, activists, coordinators, trustees, etc. You work on a paid or voluntary basis You work in any country or location (sessions are in English) StressLines does not support the mental health of volunteers in larger organisations.
Talk confidentially about whatever is on your mind - personal or professional Offload the weight of work, so you don’t have to carry it home Think through a difficult issue before raising it with your co-workers Connect emotional charge (e.g. frustration, anxiety) to your needs and practical actions Make sure you don’t compensate for an under-resourced project by over-stretching yourself.
Your project needs you!
